Initially enlisting as a medic, Tracy returned to college, earning a degree in business and a commission in the US Army.

She served as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, completing three combat tours — in Desert Storm, where she earned the Bronze Star, and Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tracy retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 26 years, during which she held positions as Platoon Leader, Operations Officer, Company Commander, Aviation Group Safety Officer, Brigade Human Resources Officer, Executive Officer, Department of Defense Efficiency Expert, and Foreign Liaison to the UK Ministry of Defense.

Tracy also served as the Director of Veterans Affairs for Montgomery County for three years and continues to serve on several veteran non-profit boards.

After leaving the military, Tracy started a small business in the aviation services industry.

Tracy learned firsthand the difficulties businesses face in dealing with government red tape and regulations. That’s why, since being elected to office in 2020, she has worked tirelessly to support local small businesses.

As a State Representative, Tracy supported our front-line heroes, families, and small businesses during the pandemic and helped disabled veterans, workers, and victims of violence overcome adversity and build brighter futures.

She worked to pass a budget that fully funded our schools and pushed forward legislation that reforms our state lobbying practices.

Most importantly, Tracy worked tirelessly to support the district through excellent and responsive constituent services.

Now, as our State Senator, Tracy is leading the fight against radical spending and policies in Harrisburg.

She’s bringing back commonsense leadership, upholding the principles our nation was founded on, and putting Pennsylvania families, workers, and senior citizens first.

State Senator Tracy Pennycuick is fighting for us. Our priorities are her marching orders.
